When you ask students their favorite thing about The Winston School, the most popular answers are the teachers and the food. This isn’t common for schoolchildren to love their cafeteria, but at Winston we’re lucky to partner with SAGE Dining Services and Chef Rachael Peters to offer nutritious and delicious breakfast and lunch to our students every school day.
Made In-House
Sage's chefs and dietitians have tailored a menu for the Winston community that upholds SAGE’s culinary standards such as using fresh fruits and vegetables; offering house-made dressings; offering a variety of whole grain breads, bagels and rolls; roasting deli meats in-house; cooking with trans-fat-free oils and MSG-free seasonings; serving antibiotic-free and hormone-free milk; and serving antibiotic-free chicken.
The SAGE meal plan is included in tuition and includes both breakfast and lunch.

The SAGE staff is trained and equipped to support communities with food allergies and dietary restrictions. Additionally SAGE’s allergen management program follows extensive safety protocols and labeling requirements in order to keep the community safe.
- The team prepares menus in advance. We encourage students with allergies and restrictions to review these ahead of time.
- A variety of options are available each day so that everyone enjoys a well-balanced meal. Anyone with a food allergy or restriction can speak with the SAGE team in order to address specific needs or concerns.
